Tranquility

and there i was, in the private pool outside of our suite in OIA on the island of Santorini..... it was so tranquil, so beautiful. floating in the cliff edge pool you see everything that nature perfected here - the crescent shape of the ridges on the island that were once the top of a volcano. the sea meets the edge all throughout the islands of Greece, but this one......... this one is a beauty.

the white stucco buildings line the top of the island giving the illusion of snow on a mountain top.........the homes and resorts tuck into the side of the hills creating cave like sanctuaries with breathtaking views of the sea.

if there is one place i never wanted to leave it was here in the sweet tranquil cliffs of OIA.

these 'toe' images help me remember the moments that i floated in the tranquility and listened to the whisper of the waves.

well, it's been a long time ............ i've been inside looking out at the waves, the surf, the sea.
a view like this deserves quiet.

Water covers approximately 70% of the earth's surface, whether that is in a liquid form, a solid form [ice], or in an invisible form [water vapor in the air]. Water on earth goes through various cycles of evaporation, condensation an precipitation usually reaching the sea.

is it no wonder that we are so frequently drawn to find tranquility in the water. Travelers are drawn to sea-side resorts to honour the waves, breath in the ocean air and soak up the colourful atmosphere that the ocean encourages.

for so many of us, when we decide to 'get away' it usually is near water. The lake. The ocean. On a cruise. It offers a tranquility like no other........... the sound of the waves.

and when we head towards the water we gather treasures that help to revive the spirit with just a glance ..... back to the shell, the sand, the driftwood. And sometimes in means simply creating your own seaside decor..............
